School assignment, brief: Create a pop up card for “Natur og Ungdom” (a Norwegian youth environment protecting organisation), to recruit more members. Target group 12-20 years.
Concept: By focusing on the organisations main essence, oil extraction, the card will promote their opinions as well as showcase who they are, and what they stand for. It’s difficult to get people engaged with this issue as the consequences of oil extraction are hard to see when it's mainly affecting the water, the air and a wide range of other environmental factors. The pop up card shows a bird trapped in the oil spill revealing the harsh reality of what is happening. Displaying how the animal life suffers and how dangerous the oil spills could be in Norway, the use of a pop out feature makes it more realistic and easier to understand for the young audience.
